Happy Birthday to my TWO year old girl!!

Oh how I love my Paysie-girl!

You are sooo much fun and love to imitate your mommy. The very moment I sit down, you are on my lap, giving me hugs and kisses. You always try to be so helpful, and you love to take wipe upon wipe to clean the floor, cupboards and walls.

Your brothers continue to dote on you...and even when you take something away from them, you are still referred to as a 'sweet girl'.

When I fold laundry, you are right there, naming who belongs to each piece of clothing that I continue to fold.

You like to call your baby brother YOUR baby...and love to hold and kiss him.

You have a love for trying on shoes...whether they are yours or not!

And when it comes to holding your own with your big brothers, you definitely can!! The squeals of escape, as you run away, tightly grasping something that doesn't belong to you, is endearing in its own special way!

Your cheeks and your curls bounce when you walk.

My girl, you are a joy to be the mommy of....even when you make a smelly mess at naptime...I don't think I need to be any more specific, we both know what I'm talking about!!

Your are mommy's little girl...and I am so happy to have a little girl to pass on the art of homemaking to. I can already see your interest in many girlie things and can't wait to teach you what it means to be a Biblical woman!

You are two years old and a joy to have as a daughter. I remember when you were born and can hardly believe how grown up you are.

I love you so much my sweetheart!

Dresses and booties

More dresses? More booties?

One simple answer....YES!

I've had this fabric since Christmastime, and I knew I wanted to make a dress for Paysie out of it. I showed it to my mom while she was here, and she made a pair of booties to match. A few days later, I made a peasant style dress with some gathering at the waist!

Paysie wore it to church this morning...but it was still a little chilly, so she wore a sweater over it. Maybe next time she wears it, you'll be able to see her puffy sleeves!

A couple weeks ago, I made Paysie a couple of dresses....one out of a seer-sucker fabric and one out of a nice cotton fabric with cherries on it!

Of course, my mom made Paysie a pair of cherry booties to match!

We are working on the whole modesty thing with Paysie!!

I made up the patterns to the dresses, but they are just simple peasant style dresses!

A girl and her doll

My girlie can wear a barrette. Well, barely. But her hair is definitely coming in nicely!

Nothing is sweeter than a girl with her daddy...

The Dr's appt

Paysie had her 4 month appointment a month late :)

It's no surprise to us that she is well over 17 pounds and almost 27 inches long!

She is in size 4 diapers, and size 12-18 month clothing.

She checked out perfect in every way and was laughing as the Dr checked her out.

Poor Nolan though....he is really bothered when she has to get her shots. He could care less when his brothers get theirs, but when he has to hear his little sister crying (even if it's only for a few short moments), he has a really hard time. He cowered in the corner with his hands covering his ears. He's such a good big brother!

5 months old...how time flies!

Paysie is a my little talker. I think we may have to put her in the nursery at church next week! She can be quite a distraction, and I've had to get up with her.

She loves her jumperoo...

She continues to go to bed at 7-7:30pm and sleeps until 7:30am! A girl does need her beauty sleep :)

I have yet to feed her solids, but I did pick up a few jars of baby food to try out soon. It's funny because when I had Nolan, I couldn't wait to give him food. When it comes to #5, it's just one more thing that I have to do, lol. I like to wait as long as possible...hopefully the 6 month mark!

She is a joy to have! My girl has rolls on her rolls and the chunkiness is so adorable! I think she looks a lot like I did when I was a baby...finally, one who might look like me :)

3 months

Can you believe it?

Paysie is doing extremely well. I believe that when she nurses, she gets pure buttercream. She definitely is getting big!

She now wears size 6-12 month clothing. I'm hoping that she will be able to wear this size for the rest of the winter, but really, who are we kidding?

She is very laidback and loves to watch her brothers run all around her. She loves to talk to them and smiles so easily.

She is in size 3 diapers...and really, it wasn't too long ago that Jamison was in size 3's. I'm guessing she is pushing the 15-16 pound mark.

Paysie is a great little sleeper and is sleeping about 10-11 hours a night straight! She doesn't even wake up crying...she wakes up talking and cooing in her crib.

She is a sweet girl who can definitely light up a room!

Here she was in the hospital:

Elephants and a new pair of booties

As much as we love the pink booties that Gramma in Maine made for Paysie...they are beginning to get too small. That meant it was time for mommy to make a new larger pair!
