My boy's Christmas pictures

I decided this morning to try to take a decent picture of my boys for our Christmas card. There were many outtakes...especially as Jamison tried to crawl away after each picture!

I was able to get some cute ones though....which I won't show you...cause if I know you, you will likely be receiving it in a Christmas card :)

Here are some cute ones that just didn't make the cut....cute, but just weren't as good as the one I got.

The one I got has two very necessary things. Firstly, everyone is looking at the camera...miraculous! Secondly, no one is crying...also very miraculous! Who would have thought two miracles would take place simultaneously?!?

My boys on Halloween!

Gideon kept going back and forth between a lion or a bee, but he went with the lion. They roared at each door and were very polite. It got hard at the end for Haddon, who was so tired, and he cried at each door when it wasn't his turn to ring the doorbell. Then would be all smiles as they gave him a treat.

Overall, a successful night of trick or treating! John manned the house (and was a bit stingy on giving out candy since we have soooo much leftover, lol), and I took the boys out.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa Jordan

We had the privilege to have dinner with John's grandfather on his 90th birthday. His speech is slow, and his hands tremble with age, yet his mind is intact, and he remains quite humorous for 90.

Bread

There is something about making pumpkin bread with fresh pumpkin that you cooked up and pureed.

And can I just say how excited Gideon was to wear his new pants? He kept asking his brothers if they wanted to touch his new pants cause they are so soft. They held up all day, so that says something!

The Art of Pizza Making

Today, we went to CiCi's Pizza with our homeschool group. We were able to see how they mix soda, how they make their dough (50 pounds at a time!), how they press their pizza, and how they make and cook the pizza! They even got to see the giant walk-in refrigerator.

After the tour, we came out, and we were able to roll out our own pizza dough and then mark them. We had a lot of fun....and ate A LOT OF PIZZA!

Aaaah! The fruits of our labor! Yum!

Making Baby Food

Before I spend a small fortune buying baby food from the store, I thought to make my own. So I did. The only thing I have to do now is get Jamison to eat it.

If you've never done it, it is so worth it. Just buy whatever fruit is in season, then you peal, core, boil, puree, and freeze. When they are frozen, just empty out the ice cube trays into a ziploc bag, label it with the date and what it is and put it back into the freezer. Whenever baby is hungry, take out however many cubes they might eat and put in microwave for 20 seconds at a time until thawed.

Here are just a few pics of the process. I already made bananas and pears...next are nectarines. I bought them for 65 cents a pound....a lot cheaper than 68 cents for a 6 ounce jar!

Nolan was 2, Gideon was 9 months.
